Sad story, but trying to make it positive.

Everything changed in late October of 2022, I received the worst news a parent could possibly receive. The sudden passing of my daughter Emma. She was a week away from turning 23 and was studying at a university in the States. I immediately flew back to the USA from Thailand to attend to my daughter’s arrangements.

I loaded personal belongings of Emma into my car from her apartment to transport to Emma’s mother. The afternoon before leaving the university, I saw Emma’s favorite stuffed animal looking at me from inside my car, Mr. Penguin. I remember purchasing him for Emma on a business trip to Baltimore, Maryland probably 20 years ago. Mr. Penguin and Emma were inseparable ever since.

So fast forward to today, Mr. Penguin is a small part of Emma that will see the world with me for now on. He has a good life, able to see the world and possibly have more clothes than me!
